We launched our Doula Medicaid Project in August 2024 and one important step of our research is speaking directly to Doulas and other birthing providers about the challenges they’re facing in navigating third party payment-specifically Medicaid.

We recently brought together nurses, doulas, and community stakeholders for a powerful discussion on breaking barriers in maternal healthcare. Through open dialogue, we explored real, actionable solutions to expand access for women in lower socioeconomic communities—because every mother deserves quality care, no matter her circumstances.
